Sounds lovely mate, another typical kawasaki mad top end there, theres nothing like em!
Is that a Fiat coupe 20v turbo you were following at the lights? It seemed respectably quick for a car actually! do you know anything about it?

I'm not sure what it was, I was blinded by it's uglyness Smile Although I took the revs up quite high I wasnt really gunning it at all, Should had blasted past him really.

The can still had the baffle in too, Would had sounded alot better if I removed it, Oh well I'll do that next time.

I'm very happy how the vids turned out, I literally used a 3.2mp Cannon Digitalcamera selotaped onto a cardboard box Smile the original vids were better quailty too

It was a Fiat, not sure if it was the Turbo though. My brother has just bought the 20v Turbo and they are seriously quick motors and will quite happily beat the early scoobies.

We happened to race one in a mondeo v6 24v and gave it a run for its money on the motorway. As for it beating imprezas, a 99' impreza wrx did 60 in around 4.5 seconds compared to a 99' fiat 20v turbo which only managed 6.8

Doubt it mate, they do 60 in about 6-7 secs, have front wheel drive (shit for pulling off quickly) and dont make much power.

Dynamight, nice vid, as said on the other forum

lol, it doesnt actually have a powerband it was more the way I was riding it. The roads were quite damp so I was taking it easy for the first 40MPH then opening it up properly plus if I just whack the throttle open in 1st I get all sorts of wheelies and stuff.

I wasnt quite expecting the car to try to race me, I mean I pretty much pulled away at tickover then he booted it, So I kept up without thrashing it at all, I was gonna overtake but he choose the righthand lane and I dont like nipping up the inside because around the corner ahead theres traffic lights and long queues sometimes, It can be dangerous.

Actually the Impreza WRX is not that quick apart from getting a better 0-60mph time which is all down to grip and better traction. A Fiat 20v Turbo or Rover 220 turbo coupe would easily beat the in gear acceleration figures and midrange acceleration of a std WRX. The Scooby is a heavier car, and by the time all that 4wd and extra diffs and gearbox's and drive shafts have been powered your losing around 70bhp from a car that only had 213bhp to start with. The Fiat or Rover should have 160-165bhp at the wheels, but the scooby will lose alot more. I dont know what is considered a great 1/4mile time for a std WRX, but id bet it wont be under 14sec at best, and ive seen a few Rover220's get into the high 14's and thats with a FWD chassis, so i wouldnt be expecting to leave a Rover or Fiat coupe far behind with a std WRX, unless your talking handling?

Dynamight, you cant tell that you werent racing from the way the revs were climbing. You were half throttleing, changing up early then relaxing, before doing it again. If you had been throttling it the speedo wouldnt have stopped moving!
