My INTRO to the BCF:

Got this one for FREE!

It's a 1980 Yamaha SR250

Despite a stuck piston and a stripped and rotted plug hole its pretty CLEAN for a moped sized bike made for a 4'-3" asian woman who likes to sit UPRIGHT all day.. (those handlebars are absolutely horrible)

https://ammoman.com/CHEVY/yamaha2.JPG

But since I am 6-3" guy and dont exactly FIT on this thing me and a good friend decided to revamp its frame into something else.. a CHOPPERIZED RICER, Thus the Photoshop edited images began...

https://ammoman.com/chopper/YamahaChoppa2.jpg

By lowering and stretching its wheelbase 12" inches and raking the forks to 45-degrees and mounting it all on a scratch built RIGID frame we should have something that looks like the above drawing...

Well then it got addictive as all my friends started donating parts and shop time as it went along... (powdercoating supplies, oven time, special tools, tube benders, 42 ton press etc..)

Go see how far along we have made it for only about a weeks time invested and only in 6 pages, You will know where it got the name "The Red Baron"

https://www.ammoman.com/chopper

Yeah it's only a little 250 4-stroke, But when done should be a RIOT to ride around town... and hey, It beats burying it in a landfill somewhere..

I say that IF you are reading this and cant afford a NEW bike then you should leave those 6 pages with some great "ideas" to make your own and not pay thousands...

It's all GOOD

PS: I cant stand Harleys.. Just way too BIG for me with a bad left leg, So I had to do SOMETHING right??

Here is a TEASER picture...

Thanks Frosty and Yams, Should mention that I'm in the USA too...

Dont think many will notice its just a little 4-stroke 250 Yamaha over here when they see the dressings and additions all over it like the "mini replica" dual Spandau machine guns used for exhaust that a Fokker DR1 carried for weapons...

https://ammoman.com/chopper/YamahaChoppaGunExhaust.jpg

Not that the Yamaha was slow, It destroyed the rear sprocket and tire from burn-outs I was told.., When it was running, All I can see at this point is the end-results of what happened to them..

PROOF:
https://www.ammoman.com/CHEVY/Yamaha21.jpg

and the new sprocket should give it one hell of a take-off with 54 teeth, Meaning the 16:46 ratio is now 16:54

Ever mess with comperssion or gear ratios? lotta FUN!

Its one thing to bolt on an aftermarket part from a store to make a new bike look different.., It's another to make the whole thing yourself from scratch..

Guess you missed the nitro moped racing the nitro Trans AM video - Guess who WON?, Very WILD!!!...

Is this one weeny??
https://ammoman.com/chopper/XT250.jpg

No? Its the same engine...

Would you say no to the 2 stroke version maybe?
https://ammoman.com/chopper/TT250.jpg

Its not about burn-outs or wheelies..
It's about getting your knees in the wind my friend..

Oh I also think you missed the part where I was in a car accident and my left leg now has a steel pipe inside it.. and is pretty weak at the knee, I cant hold up a big bike.. So what would you do?, Never ride again? Sit in a chair and watch others?? Naah..

Last bike was a 85 CR125 Honda

Ride SAFE

The TX like the SR with the same engine had a better suspension for the track of course, But like you said.. riding a wheelie on one of those is as easy and riding a trike.. Almost balances itself when upright..

However once converted to a Chopper wheeleies are gonna be OUT...

You can weld? SWEET!! MIG or TIG?

Ever tried making a pedal Chopper??
https://www.ammoman.com/chevy/ChopRust001.JPG

Also had FUN adding air-ride to the Hotrods frame this summer..
