Thought I'd introduce myself. Hello! Very Happy

Need to ask for a quick bit of advice (as always with newbies I'm afraid! Very Happy )

Do people think it's better to go for the DAS test now (got my theory) over the next few weeks (while the weather is okay) or wait till the new year? Want to get things sorted now but not sure about the (no doubt) ice/freezing weather, which will appear from nowhere

What do people think?

Anyway, nice to meet people and thanks for the advice (this forum seems v. friendly! Very Happy )

The weather will stay bad right into April, if the past few years are anything to go by. I would say there's more ground frost in March than at the end of November.

I would go for it now - Rain isn't necessarily a bad thing as the examiner will go easier on you for it, and in 30 zones it doesn't really make riding much harder. Ice could randomly appear and spoil your test, but then again lots of things could happen that would stop you doing it. Just go for it now, whilst you have the time and the money.

I took my restricted(A2) test last month. Even though i'm still riding my 125, it feels good having the licence, knowing that it's all out the way Thumbs Up

I agree with Nath.

If you've gor the time & money, do it now before the winter sets in really bad. Because once you've done it, you never have to do it again!

Hi inspire..

I would say get your test out of the way now...ASAP...as soon as you are ready..

I did my test yesterday...in the cold and torrential rain here..but at least I proved I am an all weather rider Wink

I agree with a comment made earlier....I am glad my licence is out of the way...then I can grab a bargain bike in the winter sales...and KNOW I am ready for the WARM weather next year !!!!
(Oooooooo yes....can't wait for that again!!)

I too am still on my 125 for a while, as I busted it yesterday when I fell off....but I am looking to sell in the next 4 weeks or so.

Good luck with whatever you decide
..
Jo
