 |
|
Hi,
I've just noticed a split in the rubber of the sparkplug cap. When the bike wouldn't start this morning I removed the plug to check for a spark and noticed it arcing from the split in the rubber to the frame.
Is it possible to buy a new cap or do I need a new coil?
Also if the bike won't start (nsr125) normally is there a nack to starting them without flooding even more? Or is it a plug out and clean job?
Thanks in advance ____________________ Mr Tickle |

Yes you can buy plug caps seperately.
as for starting yes there is a knack to it, however it is different with every bike. To stop it flooding give it as little throttle as possible when starting, and open up the throttle as soon as it catches.
A dirty/oiled up plug can easily stop something from starting, so it in doubt give it a clean! |

Cheers m8, I bought a new one and also fit a new choke cable. When I start it now it revs to 3-4 thousand as tho the choke is on when it isn't
Could the choke assemble be sticking? There is a bit of slack like the manual says ____________________ Mr Tickle |
