On my way home from work last night my clutch cable snapped. Rollox, managed to get a lift home and left my bike outside a 24hour Tesco petrol station. The problem is that my parents have just today gone to the USA for 2 weeks. I can get hold of a clutch cable for my gsxr400 by tuesday from eBay. Are they hard to fit?? Apparently i have to take the engine casing off. I'm useless with that kind of thing so any help would be much appreciated. I have no manual which doesn't help either as they are all in Japanese. The nearest bus stop is 2 miles away. Shocked Home alone. Thumbs Down

Clutch cables are basically a consumable, i wouldnt imagine that chaging one of a well designed bike is too difficult.
So long as you take your time then i can't see why you will have too much trouble doing it.

Hi

I have ridden bikes come with no clutch cable, but not something I enjoy doing.

It should be fairly easy. Rotax are the only people I know who make engines where you have to take a real cover off, although on some other bikes you have to take the sprocket cover off.

Ever tried changing a clutch cable on a rs125? Shocked My bike was off the road for a month when it snapped.
