Basically I'm looking at these:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360277227459&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_3189wt_1139

The one listed above is the PTT version. However they do VOX headsets also. I think they will be the same price.

Which would you go for?

All opinion's wanted. They will e used for Rider to passenger and also rider to rider if that changes you decision.

Thanks very much.

Vox all depends on how well you set it up. I like vox for me and people can hear me, mates use vox and it is crap for them so PTT is better for others to hear.

The PTT button on my Autocom setup did my nut in, so I switched to vox. It seemed you had to press the button so hard, you'd start turning left, and there was no real feedback to tell you if you were transmitting or not.

The vox worked fine after a bit of setup faff.

I would save my money and buy a proper setup such as scala, autocom or starcom. I tried a pair of headsets very much like that from maplin and found they were ok at 40mph or below but anything higher than that you just couldn't hear anything except wind noise.

The PTT buttons are a complete pita but the VOX is also pretty turd with them too because the mics aren't designed to not pick up the wind noise.

I've bought them and gone for VOX.

Yeah I agree that scala would be better, but at the moment I am looking to buy 3 headsets. That's at least £300 and I really don't have that kind of money sitting around.

Worst case, I have to modify the mic's a bit, with loads of foam as Paddy said.

Worth a shot I think.

I will post up the results!

Thanks all
