First bike! Very Happy

Just got my new toy today, an old Kawasaki KR250
No more trains to work for me! Twisted Evil

https://users.on.net/~tjapple/photo/kr/DCP_0069s.JPG

See more below, html hates me Sad

Engine is out of a newer one, the original had shagged itself. Frame is in good nick, electrics have been done up and a new seat. Painted about 10 years back, and some of the fairing (like below the taillight) is looking a little worse for wear. A few little things (like make up a bracket for the left hand side rear fairing since the one there is warped and making it wobble and a good clean, chain lube, etc)

Think it should do me for a while Very Happy

PS, whys my html not working? Sad

Your images don't seem to be working, I'm not sure what webpage code that is, but these boards don't like it. Normally you'd use :[img] image url [/img] or put it as an attachment.

Couple of observations:

1) Nice bike
2) Nice colour (will always be "Ninja" green in my eyes, as the first Ninja I saw up close was that colour Mr. Green)
3) Weird numberplate
4) Your panel has fallen off Laughing
5) Wheels and stand need a good clean, looks like rust but could just be dirt.

Be worth changing your post to remove the pictures from it, make them into links byt just removing the [im] and [/img] tags, there are people who don't have big monitors and broadband remember. Thumbs Up

Rear wheel looks like it needs cleaning it looks like. Razz

wierd exhausts, top bike though.

Something that always puzzles me with bikes with engine replacements, that means the engine and frame number don't match, doesn't that cause all kinds of legal problems?

Because it isn't enabled. There is no need, anything needed can be done using BBcode.

Can those massive pictures be changed to links, there are people without broadband and without large monitors and trying to load this page would kill their connection.

Sorry I took so long to get back....

Yeah, that html is supposed to auto resize the images, i've added a smaller one at the top now which wont kill your 56k'ers.

I love green Very Happy Thats what swayed me to it.

Side panel was removed by yours truely... was having a look for the battery at the time and decided to have a break and take some pics.

Needs a mudguard at the back, 2 of the indicators are a bit faded so i might do that, lower exhaust needs adjusting out a bit (rubs against the swingarm) and a few little bits and pieces need adding (dust covers on the top of the front shocks, that round bit on the right fairing, etc. Also needs a GOOD cleaning, lots of crap on the rims, chain is covered in crap and its pretty dusty (summertime here - so much in the air)

I'm going to get the frame and engine rematched when I register it with some clever number swapping... or something like that. Guy I got the bike from is a recycler/dealer, said if I have any trouble he'd give me the stuffed engine Laughing
