The thing that strikes me most about the ZZR400 is heavy. It's basically a sleeved down (cylinder inserts) ZZR600, so rather dumpy. The GPZ 400 is the same, it weighs 202 kg yet only has 50 hp to go with it. (Both have more weight that the respective 600's).
A GPZ 500 might well be faster and cheaper than a ZZR 400. (Group 8 vs. group 11.) ____________________ I must not be a troll...

My VFR400 was restricted to 33bhp after I passed my test. Was still very usable with decent go until about 10000rpm. Now the restrictors are out after my two years (well they were out ages ago, but thats not the point), the bike revs to 15000rpm and goes like stink. Alledgely, the NC30/35 are good bikes to restrict due to how they make their power. Ask a mechanic and he'll disagree as the carbs are a nightmare to remove and fit!! ____________________ '89 R/W/B NC30
