No, they'll know from the age of the bike. Just your insurance doc and the reminder needed then Thumbs Up

Although, what month was it registered? It's three years before you need to MOT it from new (I think Question ) so unless it was registered in Dec '01, you should have an MOT now?

Unless you've done something funny in the last 3 years, surely the MOT should expire at the same time as the tax is due?

At least, thats what happened with me (followed by an MOT failiure... and a pass later that day, and tax a few minutes after Wink)

Craggles, it doesn't have a MOT for the first three years as it does not require one. Three years from the date of first registration, so they'll see that when they look at your V5 and if its under three years you don't need a MOT.

You don't need to take the reminder that they send through the post, I've taxed bikes before without any form of remainder, you need the V5, insurance certificate and a valid MOT if applicable.

That's true, but then you need to take the registration document and fill out another form!
