Well, I was tired of riding round in my old and broken boots, so I decided to get some tarty new ones. So, I went and got some Alpinestars SMX Plus boots, reduced from however much they cost to £152 Smile.

They are sooooo comfy, but embarrased me slightly...
...As I was rocketing off down the road, I switched into neutral instead of into second, and screamed the engine at 20mph - all cos my boots feel so much different.

They feel a lot more secure and rigid than my other boots too, a lot more reassuring Very Happy.

AND they don't squeak Very Happy.
And they're sooo incredibly tight and impossible to get on/off Laughing .
And they're sooo tarty too Mr. Green Karma .

They are wicked boots.

The ones with the laces inside right?

Yeah I would have got those, had they not been so expensive (at the time).

Thumbs Up

I've got a pair and they're great. Maybe a little bit cold in the winter as those vents are not just for show.

The feel soo good! Thumbs Up

Laces? Doesn't it take you ages to get them on and off?

You want a pair of these for laces, Romper Stomper style.

No, to lace it up you just pull a string (well isn't that the whole farking idea of lacing????) with a fastener thingie.

Cos of the shape of them though, where your heel goes RIGHT into the back of the boot, it does take AGES to get them off and on Smile.

suppose its not a bad thing that they stay on! Far better protection though eh? Stop your ankles turning and you foot twisting, plus the sliders mean your foot wont get dragged into the chain if you 'touch down'! good buy!

That'll get easier as you break them in. Soon they will be the most comfortable footwear you own.

Who cares if they stop you breaking your ankles if you come off.... Oh, and everyone will notice them when they hear you coming as and when they start to squeak Wink
