While idling away the time driving to work this morning, I got thinking about motorbikes characters and what would their car equivelent be?

Now, don't go mad at me, I know that bikes and cars are totally different, but for some reason I feel that, for example, a Suzuki GS500 or a Kawa ER5 remind me of a Fiesta type car. Mabe because both good for learning on, confidence building, cheap to run about with etc.

Then you've got stuff like new Triumph Thruxton, reminds me of new Beetle/Mini. New machines with retro looks. Except the Triumph pulls it off and the cars just can't. Smile

Are you able to put your bikes character to a car?
What would things like R1s, Triumph Rocket 3 and the new Duke be?

Obviously this is just a bit of fun and not a serious comparison of cars and bikes!

I've always thought that a Ducati is a bit like a Ferrari: Italian, expensive and unreliable.

My bike (Yamaha Tw125):

Robin Reliant with big fat off-road tyres.

Very strange looking, very crap performance, but if you own it, you just can't stop loving the little tyke. Smile

And CG125s are like Toyota pick-ups. They just keep going and going and going and going. hehe

My bike is 90bhp at 200Kg so a typical car is 4-5 times that weight.

So what car is 800KG at 360bhp?

I love the Zephyr - I think it would be an old, entry level Austin Martin.

I ride a '99 fazer 600 - probably a volvo.

My 954 Blade I thought more like a Porsche 911. Solid, quick, reliable and been around for ages.

Cagiva supercity - ones of those little 4wd fiat things with a bull bar on the front. Looks like it could go off road, but it can't, yet it is still rather useless on the road.
