Hey,

I just bought an alarm. It says "yellow wire is live, connect it to a 12V source" Can i connect it straight to the battery terminals?

Also says "black wire is earth" However it dosent say where to connect this wire. Do i just leave it not connected to anything?

Thanks

Hi

The yellow wire can probably go to the battery, as that will be a constant feed. There might be a wire (or it might be this wire) than needs to connect to a feed that is only powered when the ignition it on.

The black earth wire can either go to the -ve terminal of the battery or to a good earth on the frame.

All the best

Keith
