Please say there is a way to do this without going onto the parents bank account.
I will have the money to do this every month, it works out about £35 a month, but will the insurer let me do this as I'm 17? I heard something about a guarantor? My dad will probably sign it, but I don't want it to be billed to him, i want to be independant with this bike.
I could ring up Rampdale but they are closed and want a quick answer. How much usually do they add on for credit like this?
Cheers guys ____________________ RooRoo: just like the time i stuck my finger up my arse with no lube at all and she didnt talk to me for hours |

Yeah, your pop will act as guarantor, basically if you don't cough up, he'll have to.....I believe thats teh way it works....
It won't bill him, no, you will be billed, he just acts as a safeguard should your direct debit not go through, then they have someone else to fall back on...
I done this with my dad, money came out of my account, all he did was sign a bit of paper. My direct debit always went through, so I don't know exactly what would happen if it didnt. |

Installments on bike insurance are classed as a credit arrangement. Until you are 18 you cannot legally enter into this. The only way is if somebody (over 18) is willing to take on the legal responsibility. I suggest asking Pops nicely. Unfortunately this is one of the problems with being a yoof.
As long as you keep up your end of the deal you'll probably earn loads of brownie points from Dad. |
