Came down this morning and my outside light went on. Quick check and I seen that my gate was open, thought at first it had blown open with the wind.

So get dressed and go out to have a look. Thinking it wasn't that windy last night actually? Thinking

Look at the gate and half of its laid on the floor in a very neat pile, wind doesn't do that, so turn round and look in my garden to see my bike cover on the ground (opposed to been on the bike!).

Great, so the bikes been stolen.

Now this at first was a tad annoying but as I drove in to work this morning I couldn't help but start to laugh (strange some of you must think - maybe the shock has had a funny effect on him).

But as I was driving I started to think what they had stolen.

They have stolen a bike that has no throttle, no chain, the rear wheel isn't attached correctly or straight, the rear suspension isn't attached and it doesn't run very well.

Hmm so I then start to have images of these master criminals getting round the corner looking at their haul and suddenly realising that they haven't actually committed the crime of the century, but more saved me the job of disposing of this heap of shite!

However, still somewhat annoyed that I now have to go and mend my gate.

Keep an eye out for my beast though peeps, you never know, it could just be seen on a road next to you.

LOL they stole that? Nice shiney CBR6 and they took that? Think you got off lucky mate, not nice to have ANYTHING nicked but at times like this you can only think what COULD have happened instead and be happy that it didn't Smile

Hehe wonder what they are planning on doing with it if it's got no chain/brakes and stuff? Thinking Laughing

It was maybe for the best I didn't hear them last night as I would of went and confronted them.

Now imagine if you will been confronted by a 5'6 northerner (hairy northerner - thank you Helen Razz) , bollock naked holding a sword with a 3 foot blade (as thats what would of happened).

Now that alone would of been worth seeing. Laughing

I'm going home at lunch time so will sort the gate out then have a walk round teh estate. I expect to find it, if I can be bothered looking for it. Laughing

LOL @ Hex.
If the criminals are that stupid it will definately be in one of the local estates and give it a couple of weeks and you may find it in your local canal.

Anyways glad to hear that it wasn't the CBR probably would of laughed like you but would consider more security for you garden though

Shit mate, had me worried there for a while.

Hope you don't find one of the little scrotes trapped under it bleeding to death, as that would be such a shame. Wink

Glad to hear it wasn't the CBR mate, but it still sucks that people think they can just vandalise / help themselves to your property.

LOL @ Gav Laughing

I thought you meant your gorgeous CBR had been nicked for a second there, but when i saw the picture of the weird little blue bike, i just cracked up Laughing It must be annoying though that someone had the cheek to come onto your property and steal something of yours though? (Even if it was pretty much worthless Wink)

I should hurry up and get the gate fixed mate and get a decent padlock on it incase they try to bring it back in the night.
JK Laughing

Although I know how you feel even if you didn't want it.

Some kids took my old speedfight 2 last year. They couldn't get it to start so they tried to wheel it to the local park but because I had a disc lock on the front they gave up and dropped it round the corner.

I had a pretty good idea it was a group of kids who hang around the local park as from where the bike was found they was heading for that direction, They take bikes and scooters ride them down to the park and do burnouts down there and generally act like kids of them sort do once there finished if the bikes worth anything or got anything they want they'll take it if not they'll push it into the stream that runs along it Rolling Eyes

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Guess what I found on my drive home this afternoon!

But the really funny/ironic thing is, as I'm driving along I see a police car, nothing to strange about that then I see the moped on te other side of the road!

Pull over and go look at the moped thing and see that the police are actually chasing a swan or something around. Laughing

He ask's if everything is ok and I tell him I had reported this "thing" stolen this morning. He gets on his radio and ask's if the forensics want to look, they say no and he says well you can do what you wish with it.
He looked at me a bit funny when I asked if I could set it on fire properly (as the kids have tried to set the year old petrol/oil mix in it alight - and failed miserably Laughing ).

At this point the swan is captured and taken away in a van then just while I'm talking to the police man a old fogy beeps cop (as his cars in the road (blues going mind) and tells him to move it.
the words, cheeky bastard passed his lips and he shouted at the old guy to pull over. Laughing

At this point he said "Later mate going to go kick this cheeky bastards arse" Laughing Which amused me no end. Laughing

Now I have to try and get rid of this thing again! Rolling Eyes

Might be worth looking at some better security anyway, just incase like.

I also initially read that as the CBR being stolen and was very Confused.

I'm looking to get a computer based CCTV system at some point when money allows.

A computer cctv is easy with my nice wireless internet and old laptop and webcam. But I am going to be putting an alarm on the shed at least.

Also what is really funny is they tried to hot-wire this thing.

You can see where they have been looking at the wires trying to work out what to do for teh ignition.

Shame there isn't one! this think literally is just kick started, imagine a bigger mini moto (only less fun). Laughing

Oh the amusement its provided today. Laughing

Thing is, with cctv you have to have a good picture, one that you can easily pick out the criminal, and there useless if they cover up there faces. Glad it was that nice beast of a bike they stole and not your cbr.

What where u actually planning on doing with it, practising riding it into a river or something, or jumping off it and watching it go into walls?

Thats a very good question, I was going to get it going then it was up to Hannah to do something with it as its hers (she was gave it from a mates mother).

Since Hannah now works abroad though and I couldn't be bothered to do it up the plan was to either let it rot away to nothing or scrap it.

The plan remains unchanged. Laughing

Reminds me of when someone broke into my car in Slough (where else?), ignored the perfectly good stereo in the dashboard and stole the non-working one that was poking out from underneath the driver's seat. Some people... Eh?
