Have a look at this list of excuses people have given when caught speeding. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Arrow I passed out after seeing UFOs
Arrow A jet over-head, not me, triggered the camera
Arrow I had a severe bout of diarrhoea
Arrow A gust of wind pushed me over the limit
Arrow I had to rush my dying hamster to the vet's.

Well at least it will have made the day more interesting for the person who opened those letters. Smile

Well a mate of mine got away with one...his excuse "My ex GPO BSA Bantam cannot do 70mph. If you would like to check this please get back to me and I can arrange for you to take the bike for testing."

What he failed to mention was that the bike was in neutral at the time and he had just been pushed down a hill towards the camera by one of my other mates who was riding a bigger bike and holding on to the back of his jacket. Released him and braked just before the camera.

Much hilarity all round and a trophy speeding ticket for his bike that does no more than 45mph on a good day.
