Hello again guys.

Right. On a toy run last week, my cooling fan failed to operate and resulted in a nice load of liquid coming out of my expansion chamber..... Nice! Razz

So, I get the bike home and test the fan.. It works fine, so I'm now thinking "Find the temp switch" -- Easier said than done. I've found the plug that the fan connects to, but then the wires disappear above the engine under the tank :S Any ideas where the temperature switch is, because i cant seem to find it on the radiator..

Thanks in advance..

Dave

It could be on the thermostat housing under the tank or very nearby.
The small sensor will be for the temp guage if you have one and the larger switch may very well be for the fan.
Good hunting Cool

Did you test the actual fan switch - 27010 - or just put a supply to the fan?

Yep, whip that out (you'll lose your coolant of course) and play a fag lighter across the back - that should start the fan I reckon.

A lot of people just bypass the fan switch and connect the fan to a flick switch so they can turn it on manually when the temperature creeps up.
