https://www.geocaching.com/

Anyone ever done it?
Anyone ever though of doing it?
Anyone ever though of doing it and had suicidal thoughs shortly after?

I dunno, it could be fun, could be pants.. it would be good if they are accessable off road, a good way of introduceing new roads and greenlanes.. or just accessable straight off the road...

A more interestingly geeky way of picking a route for a sunday ride out...

Yep, I've done a bit of geocaching. A good way of picking a random destination for a rideout.

I'm not a geek though.

No really, I'm not.

Definitely not.

Not me.

Embarassed

Whatever happened to finding a paper map, getting lost and finding your own way around our beautiful country?

All it seems to be is that you go the coordinates, find the reward but then leave something as a reward.

I'm a Total Geek according to the Geek Survey thing anyway.

I knew I was years ago anyways.

I also have a PDA with the entire Matrix script on it. And H2G2 (if you know what that is you're a geek too).

Yet to try GPS on the bike though...

What did you get? i'm hopeing to get a newun... ive got a garmin 3+ its good but not easy to read in the rain :/ get yourself a RAM mounting bracket for it, propper good, or if you have a cropss bar a posh touratech one Wink

I suppose all you get is a ride out suggestion... what could be better is a data base with good routes to take of differing lengths made up of several waypoints, some on road and some off, some harder some easyer... the thing you get at the end is.. um nice i suppose Razz thats what seems to make it that little more geeky i dont know why...
