I used to play ice hockey and wore a visor (not a cage), and discovered that shampoo got it phenomonally clean and stopped it misting up.

Just tried it on my helmet too and it seems to be working.

Pour plenty onto your visor and rub it around (both sides), wash it off and wipe clean.

Visor ends up extremely clean but with a slight sticky feeling to it, as if its got a layer of something on it. Guess this is what stops it getting misted.

Just thought i would share.

Would there be any advantage in using shampoo with conditioner in it leading to a nice soft and silky visor, a visor full of life and vigour Question

I think you'd add volume and body to your visor if you used sahmpoo and conditioner Git. Make sure it's got Pro-Vitamin B5 for that extra glossy look Thumbs Up.

My hair always has that extra gloosy look, and I dont wash it.

So either I have magical self-washing hair, or its a load of cobblers Mr. Green

Anyway, on topic - Make sure that if you do try washing up/shampoo, dont use a very stong-smelling one, because you will have that up your nose for quite a while.

Spit works too. Hang on, I think I'll start collecting a jar of spit and see what my hair looks like when I use it instead of shampoo...
