Hi,

Mrs Mantzy is getting used to the bike now, but she only has a textile jacket and a helmet (gloves too hopefully by this weekend). Problem is, I'd feel safer with her on the back if she was wearing full leathers.

Do you know any good brands or shops where we could get her some cheap but good leathers? Any brands recommended?

Missed out on the Dainese ones going on ebay today, they'd have been perfect.

Cheers
R

5'2" (or 1 & 3/4's actually), size 8/10, hourglass-ish figure.

Was going to send a photo but she'd kill me

Hein Gericke fair enough if she's an 8/10.

As with most shops, they don't seem to think women over a 14/16 ride bikes. Rolling Eyes

Called up Hein Gericke in Norwich, going up there this weekend anyway to look at Pathan gloves anyway. Will look at their women's stock. Sadly, the missus won't be with me at that time so will have to go back there with her. Not been up there on the ZX-6R. Should be fun, probably quicker than on the Sachs.

Cheers for your help

I have a pair of WEISE trousers with both knees and hips protections. Very Very comfortable and very very soft leather. price £110.00 approx from Wessons, my local accessories shop.

Would certainly recommend them as a make!

Just been to HG in Norwich (though by myself) and they seemed really helpful. some of their stuff looks promising.

Wish there was one closer to home though. Oh well, doesn't take too long to get there going 120...

Yes, went to J&S but it was really hot in there and she got annoyed (as she was only expecting to be trying on a gloves). Tried on an IXS jacket and she said it was bulking in places. May have been the jumper she was wearing but she wasn't happy with it. She's after either all black or black with red.

Yeah would of been the jumper leathers should be worn over a tishirt then jumper over the leatehrs to ensure a good fit Wink

"bulking in places"

To me, it sounds like she's not going to find leathers that look fantastic Confused

In all honesty, I have amazing leathers that have been altered to fit me perfectly, I'm fairly small and yet I still look like a big fat hippo in them - it's the way they are, they're not made to look great Confused

HG leathers are well made and have a relatively flattering shape - unless she is midget. Wearing a jumper underneath won't help matters and will probably make them feel really quite uncomfortable, especially if they have armour. Keep persisting, you'll get something eventually I am sure. Thumbs Up

Shifty

Crowtree, Celtic Leathers or BKS if you want them to fit perfectly.
