First the bloody lights, now this...... Evil or Very Mad

8.45 this morning. Open front door, walk up to bike and remove bike cover. Take off all locks and put them inside porch. Close front door and get on bike. Put choke on, and put key in ignition and turn to 'ON'. Thumb the starter..........thumb the starter again......
All I could hear was the starter moter, the bike was not firing up Evil or Very Mad

A few more tries got all the neighbours curtains twitching, until finally it fired up. Seemed ok for a few minutes as the revs eased down from about 5000 until they soon got to 1500. Ha ha I thought, I knew she wouldnt let me down.......... Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed ....

..the bike suddenly revved to about 5500 as if the throttle was stuck open. I panicked and flicked the emergency stop off. Mmmm whats going on? Tried again and this time she warmed up as normal but with loads of smoke (loads more than usual..even when shes coldest). The ride to college was not much fun either.....the bike sounds very sluggish and ill. Maybe I will get it serviced ASAP. I know I missed the last service but this morning was out of the blue....any ideas?

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Are you sure.....
My bike is a little over a year old whist yours is a 92 model. No offence, but I might expect electrical gremlins on a 10year old bike but not a nearly new bike (4500m).

Although it does seem I'm cursed at the mo........
