Wierd, I was just reading a post by you in another thread saying how suzukis are well made, but you won't really know until you wipe out...

Then I see this thread...

That's what happens when you don't touch wood!

Damage doesn't look too bad, just a muddy end can.

Hope you're not injured.

Thanks for the kind words. Thumbs Up

The long and short of it is I was being an idiot and got what I deserved. I'll elaborate after I get off work if there's any demand for it.

"You can't find your limits without crashing" - or so says a rather fast motorcycle racer Smile.

Apparently I found my limits on a friend's neighbor's front lawn. Neutral

Decided it'd be a great idea to do some circular burnouts in it and made the last circle a bit too big. Stupidity at it's finest. Luckily, nothing broke or was deeply scratched and I'll know after I wash it tomorrow whether the exhaust is seriously scratched. Could have been much, much worse. I guess there is something to be said for luck after all. Best part though was that my best friend since grade school saw me do it. Anyway, it's been a long day and I'm in dire need of some R&R. 'Nite all.

What's the matter with it? It just looks like you have a bit of mud on the exhaust can.

Nothing's seriously dented or cracked, just a couple light scratches in the chrome, etc. So, really, nothing's wrong with it. While I was hoisting it back up off the lawn, I was picturing all sorts of horrific damage. Glad I'm a pessimist and not a realist. Karma

Ah but every cloud has a silver lining. You can now use the excuse of 'my can is scratched' to justify buying yourself a lovely Akrapovic Race Can to give your bike that real sportsbike look. Nothing really to do with your post but related none the less - you can get some right good bargains on exhaust cans from the Ally Pally show at the end of January. I saved a fortune on my Akra can there last year.
