cagers when will they learn,
I was riding in a 30 zone at about 30-35mph minding my own business and there was a car behind me who then TRIED too overtake for no aparent reason.
I gave the bike a hand full and he had to pull in
FUCK YOU SILLY CAGER
Must have been in 4th gear too and just twisted the throttle didnt even drop it down a sprocket!
Must add that i was coming out of a 30 zone and into a national speed limit zone and i was a bit of distance away and was by no means going slow!
I am really beginning too like having a little more ooomph than a 125 |

Had the same thing happen a month or two ago. Cager up my ar$e (boy racer with his friends in the car, you know the type) when I was just over the limit (60) Decides to over take me for no real reason (just because I'm on a bike I think) so I let him get parallel and wouldn't let him pass. He was not impressed He looked f*ckin worried and soon stopped grining. Smug c*nt. |

Of course if a car had come in the other direction no one would have been very smug.
Similar situation happened to me, but on a push bike (car overtook at the top of a steep hill.)
Another car came around the blind corner at the bottom of the road.
I ended up sliding along a barbed wire fence that was laid down under some leaves on the verge. |

@G.
It was on a long, long straight. Traffic did come but I let him in front of me. Getting him back for driving way too close too me for about 2 - 3 mile (making him sweat it out), wasn't trying to kill him. Let him in with plenty of room. His face was a picture though. |

I'm much more boring. If there really close to my tail I slow down a bit so they can zoom the overtake and feel really good about themselves and how fast there car is.
Maybe overtake them a bit further up the road .

The thing to do is to allow them to overtake than sit behind them. That sort of driver will be watching you in the mirror, garunteed. They will keep getting faster and faster in an attempt to pull away from you which you can keep up 'till they start to get out of shape through the corners (I usually either overtake or back off at this point).
If you are lucky, they are in something like a fiesty or 1.1 nova, I have twice had them blow their engine going down a straight, wait for the puff of white smoke that indicates a head gasket letting go at 120mph ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That sort of thing's an everyday occurence in my little corner of the globe. People routinely pass me even when I'm already going 9mph over the posted limit. Don't ask me why. Anyway, there's nothing more satisfying than waiting 'til they get settled in the lane ahead of me, dropping down to that 7,000rpm sweetspot, then shooting past in what I'm sure appears to them as a blue and white blur. I'm an idiot, though, and I've got two speeding tickets to prove it. Both of them in my little Focus, though. Go figure. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/californiarookie/04gsxr600/

Odd thing happened to me yesterday morning, i was bitching to myself about the cold while letting a taxi turn right across my path (traffic up ahead hardly moving, about 2-5 mph but i couldnt filter due to said taxi).
And just as he goes someone bloody overtakes me and slips in the gap in front, needless to say i wasnt expecting it at all, i could have beaten him there on acceleration but i simply looked like
Within eight seconds, yes i counted, i was sitting beside his driver window looking in as if very confused... and boy did he look scared he he looked up at me.
So naturally... with nothing coming the other way, i waved sarcaticially then throttled it down the righthand side making him jump in his seat at the noise. (big straight road into Aylesbury, no turning on the right hand side and at least 3 cars widths wide... great for filtering quickly) ____________________ Previous - Gilera DNA50 / XVS125 Dragstar/Honda CBR 600F/GSF 650 Bandit

Thats funny I had a similar thing happen to me, only I was in my car, and it was a 'ped trying to overtake me and he didn't have the power to get past properly even if I'd held off, and I posted it on here and got slated by most for driving dangerously, and told i should've backed off and let him pass.
Funny innit, reverse the roles and stick a few fingers up, and a few f's into the wording, and no one slags you off!
Interesting social experiment.
No disrespect to you Dodsi, you did the same as I did, its the responses I'm referring to ____________________ Richard

i remember once i was in a friends car and another car was up our ass too, then cut us up. so i says to my mate lets follow him, so he look at me and thought f**kit ok got nothing else to do, anyway, we must of followed this fella for at least 10 miles, then aventually for poor bastard pulled into a petrol station (not at a pump) and just sat in his car looking in the mirror, by this time me and chris drove past the station. he must of soiled his underpants!! |

This is true,
plus IMHO you did the right thing as he would have just held you up and you would have had to overtake him, i did the silly thing by winding out a bike i have had for all of a couple of days in the wet weather having only really ridden 125's before! |

^^^^as stated Dodsi, I was merely pointing out the difference in the responses you had under similar circumstances, but with the car/bike roles reversed and the fact I refrained from expleatives. As I said a social experiment. ____________________ Richard

Its just interesting that;
a) people cannot access the situation impartially, ie, a biker blaims a cager etc.
b) that if you f' and blind and talk about someone in bad light, people will follow suite, like sheep, almost, and join you, and also slag them off. but if you talk about the third party with respect, people are happy to side with the fucking twat! even if he is in the wrong.
(See i can swear and slag people off) ____________________ Richard

Kasandrich,
I thought it was a limited negative response to what you did. By and large the members of the forum responded to say that they thought you had done pretty much the right thing. There were about two people who were saying why not just slow down, but they were hardly the minority.
I do see where you're coming from though, the overall tone of the response to yours was much more negative. Maybe it was because it was a vulnerable road user doing something stupid and that by your actions people thought you increased his risk, rather than him increasing his own risk. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

I done that in the summer on a modified Focus. He went to overtake me on a long straight and I dropped her down a gear and kept him beside me from 50 up to 80 with his three mates in the back laughing thier heads off at him getting trounced by a L plate 125:lol: ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |
