These defenately look interesting, apparently the totaly isolate your breath and stop the foging completely, only trouble for me is its not a flip up, maybe i need to get some contacts...

Degined for skidoos, apparently they are absoloutely fog free. not heated though, maybe get the bigest size they do and leave a hamburger on top of your head Very Happy though they are supposedly designed for -30 conditions...

Anyone else got a fog free soloution?
Do moto-x style helmets with goggles stop foging? seeing as your breath isn't going anywhere near...

If you want a fog free visor, simply get a Fog City insert, surely? They're absolutely magic, foolproof and cost less than £15.

Get some anti-fog spray and use that on your glasses to stop them misting up underneath, and apparently that works really well.

I can't see the pictures, but that's a problem with their site.

I've tryed everything available, never got allong with them... aything i have tryed only seemed to make matters worse Sad
Thanks for the suggestion tough, 90% o the time they will probably work for most people..

Could really do with getting some contact lenses...

The only thing i find miserable about winter rideing is when it rains at night, being able to see bugger all without the visor up and peering over my glasses makes what would be a nice ride pretty crappy Sad

I would really get contact lenses, they were a revelation to my riding. You gain so much peripheral vision it's untrue. Of course, no fogging or rain speckling either. One thing that amused me when I was still fascinated by them was standing over a pan of steaming potatoes to see if the contact lenses steamed up like glasses did. Laughing I was disappointed.

I'm going to be trying out the inserts this winter. I've never bothered in the past, I've just put up with having to open and close the visor all the time. Rolling Eyes

So your problem is actually with your glasses fogging up, and not your visor? I personally have learnt to breathe downwards and towards the gap in the lid, instead of just normally and having the air being reflected back inside.

Unfortunately, my eyes aren't very suitable for contacts (they dry up very easily) so I have no other choice.

Not exactly, if i leave the visor downit fogs up, lifting the visor causes my glasses to fog up, or just covered in enough road cr@p or rain so i can't see through them either, then i'm reduced to peaking over the top of them...
I'm thinking i might try putting some motox goggles on over my glasses and see what happens.. army surplus sell some decent cheepish ones..

The Lazer Revolution (dunno if they still make them) came with a 'jet mask' - like an oxygen mask which sat inside the helmet and ported your breath out through 2 vents at the side. That was a flip-up lid, might be worth seeing if they're still around.

Just ditched one of those. Very noisy, very draughty, very heavy (1.8Kg) and the pop-studs that hold the breath mask in place are prone to snapping off. They retail at about £150. They do look great, pity about the quality.

I ditched mine a couple of years ago for the noise factor but it sure never fogged up. Smile

Yep, the main visor never steamed up once, the internal dark one did though. Confused Laughing
