I filled my Aprilia up at Tescos last night and it cost £15/16.

I got a call this mornin from Barclaycard- just checking the transactions- and it turns out that Tescos only charged me £1 for the petrol.

Must be a mistake?? Cool

Lucky git!

Luckily my bike only costs about £7 to fill up so it's not a stupid amount every time I go to the petrol garage.

Had this sort of thing before.

Went to a shop and spent about a tenner on my card all was well. Got home and found they had charged me twice, so I rang to shout about it. They apologised and said they would refund me, they did....£100 Laughing

Oh yes Thumbs Up

My dad was filling 2 cans up with petrol on sunday, and between cans he put the nosel back on the catch which re-set the pump...

outcome, Buy one get one free gallons of petrol!

(my top tip of the day) it allways looks like a mistake!

Was it pay at the pump?

The way the tesco one's work is that when you jam your card in the slot it will try to authorise £1 on your card, if it authorises it, the pump will let you fill up to £60 (quite handy for the day before payday).

So unfortunately you'll probably find that the card will be debited for the full amount soon.

Sounds good.

I got a tesco's right near my school that in our younger years was pretty much the lunch time hangout.

If you notice there are signs that are along the lines of

'If we over charge you we will refund you the complete price of the product AND let you keep the product. We aim to provide a good service .... blagh blagh... we can afford it.. blagh blagh..'

(we noticed it but i only ever used it when i knew the guy working behind the counter and he got it wrong and he told us that its cool its what is supposed to happen)

Should count on petrol as well.
