Hi I have recently been talking in general chat about a sweet item i got for my CRF 250 and have a ? for you guys and gurls.

The item i bought were powerpegz off ebay. If you dont know what they are ill put a link at the end of this post.

The pegs actually pivot at 20 degrees and have advantages to stock pegs. Now my question is i have a young kid and want to know if you think it would be safe to teach him on these pegs or let him beggin on stock pegs?

Thanks Heres the link https://www.powerpegz.com/images/animation_small.gif

I have edited your post because some might suspect that you are actually trying to spam this forum with a product you will benifit from publicising. (Some might have thought that after your first post, but that's beside the point.)

As spamming is against the terms and conditions of this site, I'm sure you are not doing that, so, to prevent you receiving any bad ratings I have taken out your ebay link and instead left a link to the picture. In case anyone is interested, I have included the text from the ebay listing below.

Powerpegz are motorcycle performance footpegs incorporating a unique rotating action that allows the peg to rotate forward and backward in a 20 degree rotation and move with the natural motion of the rider's feet. In doing so Powerpegz provide substantial benefits and a real competitive advantage to riders of all ages that ride or race any road trail, enduro, motocross, trials or off-road motorcycle. Powerpegz come with a 30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your Powerpegz simply return them in the original packaging for a full refund. Returned packages must be post marked within 30 days of purchase date.

Powerpegz allow the rider to adjust the rotating tension of each footpeg. By simply tightening or loosening the bolt on each shaft the footpeg increases or decreases rotation tension. MotoTech Solutions recommends using a torque wrench (17mm) for adjustments within a range of 15 in-lbs to 35 in-lbs (1.7 nm to 4 nm).

I can see one main problem with them in that they do not appear to fold up. A beginner is going to fall off his bike a lot, an experienced rider is still going to fall off and hey-presto, bent, rotating footpegs.

They would also make quite a few bikes impossible to kick start on account of the peg being in the way.
