So...
I thought i'd let you all know how it's going in my Direct Access.
Day 1 found us getting used to the 125cc bikes again. Riding in an oval, practicing shoulder checks, and pulling away in the right way. We all seemed to pick this up quickly.
Then onto figure of 8's, again we all seemed competent at those, so onto the road.
Riding around at 4 degree C, gets you a bit cold after a couple of hours, but it was lots of riding, stopping, indicating, shoulder checks, etc.. Very good, by the end of the day I felt 100% more confident than at the start.
The instructor did say that the 6 months of pottering around on my SR125 had paid dividends. To be honest, I could see that I was far more confident on the bike than the other 2 pupils...lesson for us all, practice improves you ability.
Well, tomorrow is my first time on a 500cc...wish me luck.

Good luck, sounds like you'll do great.
You'll find upgrading to that kind of power unnerving at first, and probably think your being wussy by not opening up etc...
But belive me its a big step, four times as much power (or thereabotus) so taking it easy to start with is definetly the key to getting confident... cause then you can see yourself improving.
Watch out for speed limits... cause they come around alot quicker on a 500 ____________________ Previous - Gilera DNA50 / XVS125 Dragstar/Honda CBR 600F/GSF 650 Bandit
