I'm selling this item for a friend of mine (bob)

'This thumb brake was originally purchased with the intention of converting the rear brake on my Triumph Legend into a thumb operated version due to me not being able use use my right foot, but not long after getting it I purchased a Honda Blackbird that has Honda's CBS and as such I have never used it.'

Offers around £75

To be honest with you - I don't know, my friend was going to get someone else to fit the item but he never got round to it.

From looking at the item there are two connectors, 1 that connects to the master cylinder and the other that connects to the brake line.

The reason he bought it was that his right leg has no movement below the knee and the brakes on his Triumph were not good enough, so he thought he would move the rear brake onto the handlebars, he then went and bought a Honda Blackbird and didn't need the Thumb Brake and it's been sitting in his garage for the last couple of years.

Would he accept any less than £75 for it?

I'm tempted as it'd be handy on the supermoto but not so sure if there's no guarantee I can get it fitted keeping the rear brake pedal working...

Worth asking anywho? Very Happy

It's one or the other I'm afraid, not both.

Supermoto slides Wink I used to do it with various MX bikes, and its a bit hard to slide it on the right, because you need to hold your braking leg out often. With the thumb operated brake, you should be able to get some slides both ways Smile and probably good for wheelies too

Blue, you can "back it in" left and right with the standard rear brake as it is..

I wanted it for better control over wheelies, I struggle with the normal rear brake, but it's probably just getting used to keeping my foot at an angle to reach it or something. I haven't practiced wheelies in months due to bike being off the road so just need to get back into practice Embarassed

I've thought of an alternative way to keep both the thumb brake and standard rear brake which will cost about £10 to make, someone I know has done it and it works perfectly. Shocked So I'm going down that route for now.
