im putting my clutch back together, i have put it together a few times and it has just been loose (the lever) is there something im supposed to do ... when i really tighten the cable at the lever, i get a little movment at the clutch, but not enough... am i supposed to keep the clutch lever (on the gearbox) pushed in or something... i watched my friend do this before and that is the only time i have worked with a clutch

Hi

From memory on the RS50 it is easy to put the clutch together slightly wrongly and then have no useful clutch lever. I cannot remember how I did this (except that I realised after filling with oil Rolling Eyes ). However check that the plates and the basket and the inner sections all fit together logically.

All the best

Keith

its all logically together
all i can think is that the basket isnt sat far enough back on the clutch ... im really at a loss here...

also i noticed when i am pulling the lever with the pin on and nothing else.... not much happens it only moves out very slightly is that correct?
