My Son currently has a Motor Hispania Furia 50 Cross, the RYZ 50 looks very similar but improved spec. but the engine is the same.
My Sons went great from last new year when he got it until july, then it all went horribly wrong, it was off the road for 10 weeks, as soon as he got it home it didn't sound right. It had a major strip/rebuild, supposedly, new piston/barrel/crank & mains.
Meanwhile the warranty had run out the noise got worse to the point that he shouldn't be riding it, now do we take it back to the dealer and argue, that it was a defective repair.....no, take it to someone who you trust and get it sorted, so it went to a local workshop, they reported that the generator was loose and causing the noise, it had chewed up the shaft and the woodruff key.
Very shortly after it started making noise again, took it back to them and it was the clutch basket loose on the other end of the shaft.
Within 24 hours they had it back, it was a main bearing, and they reported that the other dealer had only replaced one main bearing......10 weeks to replace one main bearing! anyway, they replaced the other main bearing, it was back on the road for 24 hours, before it went back, another strip down, this time it was a balance shaft bearing, the guy at this workshop investigated and found that the nearings have a plastic cage and one by one they were breaking up, so he replaced the remaining three bearings of that type with metal cage bearings, now it seems to be fine, but it has spent FAR MORE TIME OFF THE ROAD THAN IT HAS ON, in the last 6 months, and its cost me shed loads of money.
My advice.....don't buy a Motor Hispania, or any other bike with that engine.
Engine is crap, importer were crap (no help) and the dealer were crap, they wouldn't even come and collect it (without charging me). ____________________ Richard

The engine itself is good. Its the AM6, as used in 95% of geared 50cc's. Its a reliable motor if treated well.
The RYZ is also the same as the Peugeot XPS as MotorHispania are a division within Peugeot. Personally, the old MH Furia was terrible. Just looking at the build quality and over all finish would put me off, very cheaply produced.
From what I've seen and heard of the RYZ, it looks 110% better in every way. Completely revamped with a sturdy new frame but I believe the motor is still the same.

Theres some reviews of the cross 50, not the exact bike but pretty much identical. Will give you a mixed opinion towards MotorHispania. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |

.....thats funny isn't it, aren't they supposed to be restricted to 30mph? so 50mph when its restricted seems strange.
I know my Sons one, is gutless as hell when restricted, and struggles to get over 25mph!
He has it derestricted, bigger mainjet, and two extra teeth on the front sprocket along with a Metra-kit zorst, the speedo goes up to 50mph, and in its current trim, it goes round to the stop, and the needle bangs on the stop, so it could be doing 60 or 65mph.
Still, come next tuesday as long as he passes his test, he'll be on his ER5.......wish him luck ____________________ Richard
