Anybody out there who can tell me if i really need to change these caliper mounting bolts as per the service manual i have on CD rom says.I am due a front tyre change soon so this is why i ask. The bolts are referred to as Anloc bolts in the manual.

Don't think so mate. I've had my calipers on and off many times, although they're now lying in a box after my front-end transplant....

I wouldn't worry about it. You might need to re-apply some threadlock to the bolts when you reassemble though, if you feel so inclined.

In theory I suppose you should change them every time they're removed.


I've never replaced a caliper bolt since my first 'discer' back in '77, and I've not had a caliper fall off yet Wink

And that's a lot of tyre changes, pad changes, general strip and clean jobs etc.
