I've got a 2003 R6, great bike, can't really fault it. To be fair though I think most 600 supersports bikes around this era are pretty evenly matched so you can't go far wrong.

Lovely bikes, I adore the R6.

Watched the virgin yamaha R6 race series on Channel 5 last night, they go really well!

I had one, until it got stolen last Summer, it was a great bike, it did everything I ever needed, commute, track days, touring. As Matt said all the 600's are good, personally I think the design of the R6 is the best.
