i receantly got a Suzuki Katana for running about on.
Unfortunatly it doesnt run about as fast as i would like.
Soooo.....
Where are the derestrictors on a scooter ?
i know the 1 that is under the belt but does anybody know where the others are.

There is a blank hose coming off the exhaust, about 8 inch long... Cut it down to about 2 inch, crimp it closed and weld up...
and thats the lot...
I think there might be a restrictor in the Air box on the Katana. Im sure there is. If there is, simply take the air box cover off and take the restrictor out, and then turn your idol screw down a little bit...

yea, but then what do you weld up without geting weld inside the exhaust...

All u do is cut it down (enough to get in vice and crimp) and then weld up the seam

depending on what exhaust you have got on, there might be a restrictor in the exhaust. You need to take the can off the exhaust apart though.

Im pretty sure the Katana has a straight through pipe (catalyst style)

If it is, then there is a blank hose. I think its a S shape... (on the speedfights they are straight)

true. me and my mate taken his can off his gianneli exhaust and found a restrictor so weather a straight pipe has a restrictor i don't know, but if the pipe is standard I think it might have a restrictor

Yea. Gianelli, Most technigas and most Leovinci 50cc pipes come with a Cone restrictor just inside the manifold...
125 race pipes dont as 125 scooter dont come restricted (although some people seem to think they do )
