This screen is on an SZR660, but does anybody know if any other Yamaha bikes use the same screen shape/size?

The attatching-screws are highlighted with the red circles.

Mine has several scratches and I would like to pick up a replacement from a more common bike if possible.

Are screens sometimes interchangable? Never thought/heard of that one.

I dunno, I thought interchangeable screens were quite normal?

Hi

Very unlikely that screen is shared with any other bike.

All the best

I've never heard of screens between interchangable between bikes. Heck, I couldn't get a screen from a 2000/1 R1 to fit onto my (old) 1999 R1...

Maybe you mean an aftermarket screen?

As for scratches - you really expect your screen to stay immaculate forever?

Are the scratches deep? Minor scratches can often be polished out.

Uh I dont know, theyre not really deep but are quite visible (theyre like wide surface marks). How do you polish them out?

Try some normal car polish like Auto Glym. Using a soft cloth apply a splodge onto the screen and rub like crazy in a circular motion..... Let the polish dry after to a craze and then buff gently off.

If thats doesn't work then try standard T-cut as its slightly more abrasive.

The secret to keeping the screen nice and shiny is simply to wash it off after every ride. Especially those bugs! If you keep on top of it the fresh ones will easily come off. Wet kitchen paper roll works fine. You don't need to rub, just soak the little suckers and they will come off easily enough. The same works for helmets.

Its when you leave them on that the damage is done to the plastics - scratches are easy to make if you try to scrub old bugs off - thier body's have had time to harden into little bits of grit and as soon as they loosen and you move your sponge across the surface.........

Also their body juices are acidic and will eat into the surface....It can even become a good indicator of the care a bike has had - run your hand over the the front of a bike you are considering in a showroom...if the plastics feels pitted with hundreds of little marks then its a sure bet that the previous owner was lapse on his cleaning!!!

Hope this helps!
