Congrats Pandy. Thumbs Up Very Happy, same price as my insurance then.

Dodsi, you own a 500 right? Well im 18 and I don't know what to do. I've been looking at 500's for a time now, I already have an existing policy for my 125 with Rampdale. They have quoted me £1507 on top of £478 TPFT (That i've already paid). Do you reckon thats too steep?

Yes, way too steep! I was paying £850 TPFT on a TL1000R at 18, in good postcode though.

Do some phoning around to get the price down and then do a bit more phoning 'round. Thumbs Up

Aye think I will first, been getting quotes on GS500 and CBF500 (That was the CBF insurance quote) the cheapest I have got is £450 TPO which I wouldn't be happy with. My dealership told me that the quotes could have been high because I have an accident claim pending, is this true?

I'm paying £190 TPFT on my ER-5 at 22.

Anything under £500 is pretty cheap, especially at a young age.

At 16 I think I was paying close to 500 for an '86 MT50 TPO. Northern Ireland for you. Though this year I'm paying 286 TPFT with a years no claims so in summer hopefully I can insure a 500 for close to 500. Got one quote for 620TOP and 750TPFT on a GPZ500. Need to ring round more I think.
