The guide I have says when the sprocket lines up with the red marking it means the sprocket should be changed. My bike has a green square (as shown).

Also what chain and sprockets fit the bros?

Loads of workshop posts I know but my bike has started to fall apart.

Cheers
Jan

normaly the back sprocket is just a case of taking out the back wheel and undoing the 4-6 nuts that hold the sprocket to the wheel. the front on all my bkes has been a case of taking the faring (if any) off and the casing of the sprocket and then its just been a sir clip holding it on. undo that and it should slide off. Mine fell off Sad.

Good Luck Thumbs Up

I noticed I was getting pretty noticeable vibrations throughout the entire bike at high rpm the other week. I got home, checked to see if the wheel alignment was off and discovered that a holding nut had fallen off the rear hub and the other three were very loose Rolling Eyes. I had secured those metal tabs against them when I was switching sprockets several months ago, but they had worked loose. The list of problems I've had with this bike is endless...

Usually if you can pull the chain off the back of the sprocket at the 3 o' clock position or there is significant un and down movement at the same point with the chain correctly tensioned, it is getting on time for a new one. If the teeth are all pointy and hooked over is another giveaway.

Back one as k!k @$$ says. The front one you need to take the sprocket cover off, the sprocket is usually slid over the splined shaft then held in place with a thrust washer which is bolted to the sprocket with two small set-screws.

If you go into any bike shop and ask them to order a chain and sprockets for a Bros, they should keep you right. Pattern ones can be bought from M&P https://www.mandp.co.uk use an o-ring chain. With chain and sprocket kits it is usually a case of more expensive = better. Use a soft link rather than a split link to join the chain, it is a v-twin and will be hard on chains.

Because the Bros has a single sided swinger, the rear sprocket is bolted to the lhs of the hub assembly. You have to take a few bits off, but as far as I can remember, it can be done without actually removing the wheel (as the wheel is bolted to the other side/end of the hub Thumbs Up
