Trade In?

Im trading my 2004 aprilia rs 125 (v.good condition-if it starts)in at the dealer against my suzuki gsxr 600. However, i think that there's a fault with the 125's immboiliser -ie- it wont start. It's not under warranty any more as i tampered with it so do you lot reckon i should do the trade in as it is, or pay them to fix it up then trade it in then. (i mean the price difference if any).

I would suggest being honest with the dealer your are buying the GSXR from and ask them what they suggest. I'm sure they won't think it is too much of a problem. If you were a customer of mine i would come to an arrangement regarding the repair cost. Enjoy the GSXR they are great, take it steady.

Right ta for that. Im looking forward to the GSXR. It's just a case of figuring up whats wrong with the RS 125 and everything will be ok!

Hi

I would be inclined to try having a fiddle with it yourself. If you haven't used it for a while then it could just be something like a duff spark plug, or have got flooded from being parked with the petrol turned on.

Right....

Well the bloke gave me this superduper charger thing. The light meaning 'Battery is practically dead' has been on for 6 hours so im waiting another few to see what happens.

Failing that- i'll try to start is presuming the engine is flooded. Then i'll ring him and ask about spark plugs, and then i'll have to get him out if we can't work out what's up.
