A2 is the usual "Restricted license" 25kw/33bhp etc

A1 is: To gain a full A1 light motorcycle licence you must successfully complete CBT and pass a theory test followed by a practical test on a vehicle between 75cc and 125cc. A full A1 licence permits you to ride any motorcycle up to 125cc and a power output of up to 11kW (14.6 bhp) without `L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways.

Glorified CBT with* motorway access.

I assume you're joking freestyler?

Maybe I'm just horribly gullable. A GSX-R6 will also need restricting. Depends how much you value your job Wink

I thought you were doing DAS?

Btw, were you being ironic with the "finally" in the topic? I thought you only bought it a month ago. If you brought it brand new, how much money did you lose when you traded it in? I find it hard to believe anybody could afford to buy a bike brand new then sell it to a dealer a month later...! Shocked

Thats exactly what im doing with the same bike.

Going from Honda CB125 to GSXR 600 on a restricted license.

Still thinking of whether to restrict it, the test run ive had on it (an hour round an old industrial site) seemed perfectly comfortable and not out-of-control-shit-in-your-pants-every-time-you-twist-your-wrist...

Go for it, though I wouldnt buy new, save it for the insurance!

Fuck me!!!!!

I still got a premium for an Aprilia RS 125 of £2210. 95.

That a 125 FFS!!

I'll see what they say for the GSXR.

It'll have to be insured from the date of me test. Confused

That figure is absolutely stupid for an RS.

You should be paying £300 top whack for an RS125, that's TPO though, obviously others would be more.

I'd expect about £1,100 to insure your gixxer.

Are you going to restrict it?

TBH, i haven't thought about restricting it. I got a quote for it as it is- £3995~

Does the annual mileage affect the quote???
