I had a new alternator fitted the other day. Since then all the electrics at the back of the bike have started playing up. For example sometime when the lights are on both rear indicators stick on as well. Most of the time the back light doesn't actually work and neither do the rear indicators. Also they wiring at the back seems to be very fragile as well becasue sometime the bike seems to "fuse". You know when nothing works, like the fuse has blown. After about 2 minutes once it has done that i can turn the fuse over and it works fine. I haven't got a clue as to what is going on and don't want to put it in a garage again Confused

Sounds like you have one or several bad earth connections. Look at all the wiring at the back end, pull all the terminals apart one at a time, clean them and reconnect. Anywhere there is a frame earth (so a cable bolted to the frame and where things like the flashers bolt on) remove it, clean it up with emery paper and reattach.

A laborious job but that should fix it. While you are at it, you should replace any wires that look 'dodgy'. Just do one at a time or you will get lost.
