im sorry but i really dont want to rewrite it all, as i started this at school as bcf is restricted

any suggestions?

btw it did start and i did get home, but sounded different and less power

I would initially concur with the other posters saying it could be a damaged ring, but it could also be a few other things so dont count your chickens yet boyo.
Being as it is a two stroker you dont have anything to loose by popping the head off and having a look. Check the reeds aswell, i'm wondering if a split reed would also cause this, just a hunch and probably way out.....


EDIT - A split reed would cause the bad / odd running problem but not cause overheating so I'll scrap that diagnosis......

aha!

me is now thinking it mightave been duff fuel and gunk in the tap!

so when i started it (eventually) it pushed it all out because:

runs without choke straight after starting
goes into powerband almost straight away
warms up surprisingly fast, faster than before

however i will still look at the plug this evening

I had assumed fuel wasn't an issue as you said you checked it already.....whoops Embarassed
That would certainly cause all the symptoms even the overheating as it would be running lean.

Easy fix anyway dude Very Happy

fixed....

it was like i said before, but i had to change the mixture settings (was running too rich) as the spark plug was covered in carbon
