VFR Vs NSR... erm?

Hey all,

AS most of you will know i have been pretty excited about gettign me a Honda NSR...

However as i can get me a 1995 and earlier model for about £1500 for a VFR, and i do like the look of em...
What do you guys recon i should do? because i am only 17 and therefore would have to restrict it to 33bhp and get a full license.
It would make sense as next year i turn 18 and therfore i could de restrict it and have a decnt bike rather than putting up with an NSR for another year or two.

Are the VFR's easy to restrict and whats the insurance like on one of them?

Please give all the info you can on these two bikes... would be very much appreciated...

I say get the VFR!!
I currently have both bikes, Riding the NSR atm but got the VFR for when ?I pass my test.
£1500 for a 1995 VFR sounds like a bargain too!
dunno about the restriction on the VFR though think but you can find out more on the NC30 club forum which is here.

u cant derestrict the VFR400 until uve had ur licence for 2 yrs

i.e.

17 passed test

19 u can deresrict

Alright, been thinking..
I cant wait 5 months for a bike.
I can get the NSR on finance in 2 months, however if i manage to write it off with it being my fault, i'm gonna have to pay for the bike off.
And whats it like to tour with?

Restriction r u mad!!!

Buy the parts if u want,i wouldnt, and say fuk all!!!Y restrict it who's gonna know! Dont put up an L/R plate and ul b fine!!

Im 19 an just got insurance quote for a vfr - with 2 years NCD it was £1000TPFT. :o
Id go with the NSR first, just to get the insurance down if nothing else.

Alright all...

2morrow, i'm looking at a Honda VFR 1999 for £1065, it hasnt been ridin yet... so i'm not sure whats up with that, but i'l check it out... i found out now, that i can get a decent VFR for about £1200, so therefore i mgiht as well get one..............

I couldnt get a new one like i would an NSR:

Cause an NSR for me on finance and insurance... = £150 +-
Where as just the insurance on a VFR would be about that ne how.
So i'l have to buy the VFR.

Sure it'll be fun though...

P.S Of course if anything looks dodgy i'l just run away and stick to my former plan...
P.P.S And as for keeping it restricted.... they can go screw themselves...
