Every time my bike develops a fault I get more and more frustrated with the company who sold it to me.
All this weekend I've had the front caliper off, and had to drill out the screws for the master cylinder cap.
After I finally got the caliper off I found there were NO dust seals around the pistons! Perhaps this is why my brake was binding like hell! Grrr! And then to find I couldn't re-fill the master cylinder, just finished me off.
Bonanza Bikes of Croydon - YOU SUCK! My ER5 has been nothing but a Lemon! Even when I bought a brand new bike off them, the 1st 'free' service was a joke, they didn't even lube the chain or stamp the book.
Avoid them like the plague! ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

Yeah, still I suppose £20 on seals and my time is not really breaking the bank. I would buy another Kwak, but would inspect incredibly closely before handing over any money. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

What REALLY annoys me is when you buy something with a years MOT and find something bad further down the line, you just know it wouldn't have passed an MOT, but try proving it
I bought a car once, the following year, I checked all the lights pre-MOT, and the fog lights weren't working, wasn't bulbs wasn't fuse, wasn't rela, wasn't switch, eventually traced it to the wire from the switch had been cut in the steering colum, and two other wires connected to the ends, via bullet connectors, unplugged wires plugged the two ends together, hey presto....FOG LIGHTS
.....BUT there is NO WAY, that should've passed the MOT when I bought it, from a dealer, and with a years MOT ____________________ Richard

Sadly most of the grief happened after the 3 month 'warranty' expired. Handy huh?
Ho hum, I guess it's forced me to learn a lot about how to work my way round the bike. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

If the bike is new, go straight to the manufacturer and explain how poor the service was. When I bought my KR150 the service was so poor that I eventually phoned up Kawasaki and explained the situation to them (I am really easygoing and it takes some pretty bad service to make me go to such extremes). I guess Kawasaki gave the dealer a good blasting, because I didn't half get good service from that point on... Up until they lost their Kawasaki licence to another dealer a few months later . ____________________ Dangerous traffic offences spotted on 50-minute trip: Lost count after 100. If a bike you just bought goes tits up, its understandibly frustrating but you can accept that sometimes things do go wrong. Its when you get stiffed on the repairs by a bunch of spur-sporting halfwits that you lose your rag.
Im hearing the '3 month warranty was up' thing, its almost like they put a time bomb in there - especially as for the first couple of months your so in love with it that you just want to ride it and not take it apart!
Suppose all you can do is get it sorted properly (better than the 'dealer' did anyway) and try to put it behind you!
happy riding!
