They are made from an EL sheet, not LED's... they do look cool and worth doing, but you can buy the face plate from the UK, they are available from various places (google it or something) and you should be able to fit them yourself.

I have always thought (since driving a VW 4 years ago) that they make for a great colour on the clocks. Good choice if you can get them! Thumbs Up

My first guess to what the mod was is that little "r6" symbol and the red led.

Is that it?

Not really worth the money I believe Sad Considering your eyes are always on the road anyway :p
