Nope, the XR125 is a 4 stroke, what you see is what you get, nothing more, nothing less. It will never go faster. Smile

Me and ghost_rider both have XR's and they are good for what they are - 12bhp little runabouts. They are designed to give that as a maximum power output. What i can say is that i've done some mods to the airbox which have made my throttle more responsive and that is to get the rubber inlet and just completely hollow it out. Top speed remains the same at 71-73 mph downhill or 65 on a flat after about 3 mins full throttle, but i feel that it's got more grunt off the lights.

Unfortunately for us guys in the UK, nobody makes end-cans or pipes for them, as i would think the only way to eek out more ponies (1 or 2bhp at the most) is by changing carb jetting and exhaust.

Max speed i've got on my speedo is 73mph so it's pants. Very light and very good around town or on the loose stuff, but if you want quick, look elsewhere. These things were built to do ONLY 12bhp. Try e-bay and find an XL or XR 250 engine and shove that in there, it'll now do 80, but not much point- just get another bike and use the XR as a winter hack!
