I got the Yardmaster 1010 GEY 9'11" x 9'9" (3.03m x 2.98m) (£309.00).

Soo excited my life long dream of having a shed all to myself will be fufilled! Its garden digging time!

I took one look at my bikes in the garden with mere plastic covers over them and decided enough is enough... £309 later and im feeling a lot better about myself!

Need to go to B&Q to get paving stones, "chuckies", sand and a spade!

Get a powerlead out into the garen and into your shed and you can get a nice wee tv and radiator in there. Perfect for getting away from the family

Yeah the xbox and and old sofa bed is going in there I think, will give me somewhere to study because my room is always a complete shit hole. The wifi in my house will reach that part of the garden as well so its looking good.

PS Weather is fuckin horrible, snow snow and more snow... and im working! Cant even get the sled out!

Question though, would I have to buy any sort of reinforced cable for laying power through the garden to the new workshop?

Anyone know a good place to get a bike mat?

You should bury the cable in a pipe if possible. Depends if you're going for proper wiring or just dragging an extension lead out there really.

A heavy duty extension cable should be okay, I have a large 25m one for my pond electrics and its been in the earth for 6 years already

My bedroom is only 12m2 and it can handle a drinking session for 6 reasonably big guys and some xboxing and some room to sleep - at this rate im going to have to buy another shed for the bloody bike!


What sort of flooring should i go for, its going to have a paved base but i was thinking about putting another layer on top like a hardboard one to make sure its level then a layer of insulating foam/underlay and either laminate floor or carpet tiles - what do you think?

Possibly have the worlds first shed with laminate flooring and a 26inch lcd tv

I'd be very worried about frost and condensation mate...especially if your parents are likely to use that plug for something - knocking out your heater!

Try to make sure slugs, foxes, etc can't get in...

You need armoured cable.

It's just under an inch thick, and has thick metal all round the outside.

You also need special ends to terminate it at each end, preferably into some kind of mounting boxes, that's the professional way to do it.

Nice buy though, I'm looking into buying next door's garage just because I don't have enough space.

Nice, get some plasterboard and insulation, stick the insulation around the walls and plasterboard on, paint it all, lay a chip board floor or something, paint that, stick a bench in the far end, a ground anchor of some sort, a portable TV in there and a mini fridge, sort out a lock for the door, an alarm system and stick some naked birds on bike posters up and you got a nice little garage!!!

I have got a 6x6' Yardmaster shed, only just fits my scooter in diagonally. I am guessing your isnt that much bigger so i would make sure when you put it up (if you havent already) how much space you have before buying all electrical furniture
Took nearly a day to build aswell got about 5000 screws and a Korean instruction book

I was thinking of pimpin' it with a small sofa bed, dont like shaggin in the house when the family are in* Also got a spare AV reciever and some redundant floor standing speakers kicking about.


1)Where would be the best place to equip the shed with tools? Good stuff?

2)What should I paint the floor with so that it can handle spillls?

3)Anyone know anywhere that sells mats for under bikes, like a GSX-R one
