has anybody got a TZR ive been thinking about getting the a 125tzr soon wondering what you guys think of them. ive heard they are quite fast

Depends what year, what model TZR.
Some are fast some are shit.

TZR125: (1987 - 1993):

Same engine as DT125

Post 1990/1991 have front and rear disc brakes,

Pre-1990 have rear drum brake,

Can be fun and fast if you find one with a powervalve servo on, (increases engine power at low revs making it more rideable) I have one with a Pv Servo on.

Pay between £200 and £800, depending on age and condition

TZR125R: (1993 - 1997 ish)

Same engine as DT125R, TDR125

Front and back disc brakes

Sharper styling, better looking

Faster (probably)

More expensive - pay between £800 - £1600

This engine may is now in the new Derbi GPR125 (but slightly different, to fit in with emissions laws)

Both produce (restricted/derestricted) 12/20bhp and have a top speed of 75/90mph

A good buy if you can find a decent one but most have been battered by learner riders...
