hey
the rear tyre is at the end of its life, the front is good.
the sprockets and chain are fine.
The 'stuff' on the endcan is just mud (should have cleaned it ), not much rust on the bike at all the exhaust is v good! ____________________ gixer 6 |

I'm still interested, but it would mean a long and expensive train journey to get to where you are. I'd need more information so that i'd know whether or not it's worth me coming and seeing it.
Your responce to my quick questions didn't really give me much faith in the condition of the bike. The fact that the back end is covered in mud and the mirrors have been removed make me wonder whether that picture was taken after an off. You say you have some interest so maybe you're not bothered about answering awkward questions. I have my license, enough cash, and the need for a bigger bike - If you're serious about selling then i'm genuinely interested.
What is the brief history of the bike? I know you've only had it a month or so and bought it off Jon, but how long did he own the bike, and how many previous owners are there on the logbook?
Are there any receipts/old MOTs? Do you know what kind of condition the engine is in(have you had any problems)? etc
Has the bike been dropped to your knowledge? A forum search suggests that Jon dropped the bike shortly before selling it which is why he dropped his asking price from £1.5k initially to £700. I know it is common for bikes of this age and size to have been on the tarmac at some point, but if it's been on its side recently, there's no guarantee that there isn't frame damage etc.
What is the overall condition of the bike? Are there any dents in the tank? Any scratches, and if so how bad? Any broken fixings etc? Just in your personal oppinion, how tidy is it? It looks in reasonable nic in the photo, but pictures never truly represent things.
Rust! You say there's not much, but what exactly does that mean. From the photo the disks look a bit orangy, and the exhaust pipe just before the endcan (under fpeg) also looks a bit rusty. What about the downpipes? Is there just light surface rust, or any patches of heavy that might soon develop into holes?
Mirrors! Does the bike have mirrors, and if so why aren't they on it in the photo? If not, why not!?
Any chance of some more pictures? Just some more general ones would be nice, to get a better idea of how the bike looks.
You say you're looking for a quick sale, yet you don't seem to be that eager to sell. Payday is Friday - If bike is worth going down to look at I could come down on Saturday, and buy/ride it back the same day. ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |
