I'm looking at getting a pair of these and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?

Arrow Grippier than an 010
Arrow Not as grippy as an 012

Good for a road tyre though, they work well in the wet.

Had a set of these for a good few months. I had an avon on the rear before that and it was dogshyte so was time for a change.

Scrubbed in very easily and in a fraction of the distance reccomended. As a pair theyve never given me a single moment of fear. Ive got full confidence in them both in the wet and the dry.

I would say go for it!!

This is what I was told between the 010 and 020, wrong bike but still...

Quote:
BT-020s will last about 7k miles on Hornet, decent grip but not special. BT-010s much more sporty, good in wet, last 4-5k miles. I'd suggest BT-010s if you want to have fun and decent grip, only get 020s if you're totally skint and need them to last ages

Are BT014's grippier than the 020's (dry or wet)?

I always thought that they were a replacement for the 012s, oh well...

I had 012s on the CBR for about 3000 (mainly winter) miles, and they still have loads of tread left. They were certainly good in the cold and wet.

Sorry, not about the 014s, but you get the idea...

Thanks for the replies.

I've almost completely scrubbed in the tyre...and yes there are big chicken strips, but I live in London so I'm allowed.

Anyway, these tyres are bloody amazing! I've never had such confidence in my tyres and the bike's handling is so much better with them. Very Happy

I got about 5000miles out of my 207's, but they are rubbish in terms of grip compared to my BT104's.

The 014's are the replacement for the 010's.

I always used to use 010's. Loved 'em, but now they are discontinued I had a pair of 014's fitted a couple of weeks ago.

Weather has been fairly shite since having them fitted so haven't really had a chance to 'feel' them properly, but they seem to be fairly similar to the 010's. Apparantly they hold/regain their shape better on cornering so give better grip. Allegedly!

I paid £211 for the pair fitted at FWR in Kennington.

I thought they were the 'stickiest' road (ignoring their track range) tyre Bridgestone made? I thought the 012 was more of a touring tyre and the 002 was the sticky track tyre.

It goes: BT-002 Arrow BT-012SS Arrow BT-014 Arrow BT-010 Arrow BT-012 Arrow BT-020. There is also the BT-011 which is similar to the 010 but better in the wet, but that only comes in a front size - to go with an 010 rear.
