These look really nice, but I'm guessing as a vtwin 4 stroke 125 its going to be the same as most 4 stroke 125's and top out at about 55. Anyone got any experience with these and can say what the top speed, ride, and reliability of these are like.

Couple on the forum have had them and although they look great, I don't think the general feedback was all that good on them. Build quality is something they need to improve on and speedo cables break quite a lot.

It'll top out nearer 70mph I hear (indicated 75?)

Best pass your test and go with the 250, only £250 more and well you won't get as bored as quickly

Yes you're spot on their with build quality because they look good and I know of other bikes that come from China like the Lifan 125 3A which is a reasonably nice looking bike too, but when it rains it gets into the wiring loom's electrical connection blocks due to being poorly sealed in the first place and the speedo's reading go hay wire when you reach about 65mph i.e it goes to the max saying 90+ mph

Yep I own one (don't know weather to look happy or cry lol)

Top speed you can get out of this bike is about 70mph (probably 65 actual) on the flat but I have had mine up to 80mph (on the clock down a big hill with the wind behind Thumbs Up ). The ride on the bike is quite nice and not too bad for long journeys. Its a lot bigger then most other 125's and you will get people asking you if it really is a 125 (which I love Thumbs Up ).

As for reliability, well...... When I first got the bike (I got it from 3 cross motorcycles in Wiltshire) I thought everything was fine with it, but then I started noticing a huge flat spot in the revs but I never really did anything about it. Then rode it up to London without any trouble had a good month or two and then the rear shock went Sad So I had to find a dealer which are few and far between, but in the end I got it replaced at Bavana (Hyosung importers in Corydon). While the guy replaced the shock he took a look at the engine. To cut a long story short he found loads of cracked pipes and pipes that hadn’t been fitted properly (I think this was three cross's fault as it even went for its first service there and they did nothing to the bike).

As for the speedo cable mine is still ok (touch wood) and haven't had any problems with it. As for the finish, its not fantastic but you can live with it.

Over all it is a nice bike to ride but isn't worth the trouble if something were to go wrong if you live far from any of the Hyosung dealers. I take it you have a Honda CG 125 from your name, I'd say the best thing to do is go and do your restricted/DAS test and go for something bigger and better. I have my theory on Monday (14th feb) and then booking my DAS ASAP afterwards so I can get myself a nice YZF600R or a CBR600F.

But if you do want a Comet 125 in a few months you can have mine Wink for a price Razz. Make sure theres a Hyosung dealer near you though https://www.bavanar.com/betadealer.htm
