Kick-Start Motorcycles of Blackpool are arranging a Sponsored Motorcycle Ride in aid of the Tsunami Appeal.

The ride will take place on Sunday 20th February. The ride will be starting from the Metropole Hotel, Blackpool Promenade near Talbot Square) at 7:45am.

The route taken will incorporate a scenic route and will cater to all riders taking part.

From the Metropole Hotel (Blackpool Central Promenade near Talbot Square) it will proceed up Warbreckhill Road and follow the signs for the A586 towards Singleton. Proceeding along the A6 towards Lancaster. At Carnforth roundabout take the A6070. After a stop off at Penrith then take the A66 to Keswick. Through Cockermouth, Workington then down onto the A596 to Whitehaven. Join the A595 which will lead onto the A5092 to Newby Bridge. Follow the A590 then back onto the A6 at Leavens Hall and back into Lancaster. Join the A588 and down onto the A65 then back onto the A6 towards Kendal.At Kendal head towards Shap then over Cockerham and Wyre onto the A586 towards Blackpool…

The ride is expected to take about 8 hours in total. And will have a few pee and brew stops on the way…

There are already over 80 names down to take part. If you’ve got nothing planned for this weekend, please mark it down in your diary and try and come along…
