woke up this morning 6am let the dog out, wait a minuite theres a huge gap on my patio!!!
Bike stolen!!!!!!!
cant be, must be a joke! wheres Beadle???
nope its true, scrapes and loadsa down trdden grass in my garden and my ignition barrel casing in the grass!
it had 2 disk locks, 2 heavy duty oxford chains, steering lock on, ground anchor! how did the buggers manage that!
all locks have dissapeared!
little f*cking, scummy robbing b*stards!
Zxr400's are dead rare up here i know of only one other and thats in penrith, theres none in carlisle so it should stand out like a sore thumb especially when loadsa people know its mine! im kinda known for the green bike, I text loadsa mates who work in garages/own bikes (basically spread the word) throughout today, got a few feelers out with a few dodgy folk round some of the rougher areas in carlisle too.
When i finally got to work after police came and did f-all, i thought! i dunno if id actually want the bike back now! they will have knacked the ignition barrell thrashed it ta f*ck, knacked the fuel cap plus its kinda "dirty" (no i dont mean mud) now it wouldnt be the same, it was mine, alot of time, money, effort and love went into that baby!
gonna go for a drive tonight see whats kicking about, police bloke says theres a huge increase in bike theft in carlisle at the min with 1 every other day getting reported! and a couple recently have been spotted being ridden the day after being reported stolen but they get away accross the parks!
hope it gets burnt out and i hope i never find who got it!
keep your eyes peeled folks

As I have said, the little fuckers have a hydraulic shear that will make mincemeat of the heaviest chain in complete silence. That is how they stole my MZ from Silloth (just up the road from Penrith) It will be the same little bastards I bet.
Have a look at the cut ends of the chain, I bet they have been sheared apart rather than pinched in two like you would get with a bolt cutter.
Both of mine also went missing on very windy nights, this is so you can't hear them.
It'll probably turn up in a couple of days in Carlisle somewhere, the last two I had nicked did. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Speak for yourself!
Sorry to hear it Sparks, I've noticed a massive increase in the number of thefts just on this forum recently, it's really starting to worry me as I'll be off to uni next year, it won't be quite as secure as a garage on a long drive in a deserted area! |

Glad to hear you're getting it back. Whether or not it's a good thing, thats yet to be seen (you might not feel the same about the bike since it's been stolen and abused)
This thread has jsut prompted me to lock up both of mine every night. I hadn't bothered before. |

Where'd it turn up in the end? Raffles?
You are lucky, they put three tanks of petrol (none of which they paid for) through mine before a copper caught them on it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Sorry to hear it went. Glad to hear you got it back.
I hope they break their knecks the next time they do it. I have had 2 bikes stolen before and i just remember the horrible feeling when they had gone. I didn't get either of mine back.
I have both my vfr and rvf in a shed. When I built my shed I laid a concrete base, sunk in some machine tool anchors about 10 inches. I have cut holes in the shed base and the bikes are locked to these. If they take the bikes i will know by the fact the shed isn't there in the morning.
I have recently got hold of an alarm that can be set up in there but will sound in my flat. This means i can run out, catch them, pull off their arm and beat them to death with the wet end. |

glad you got it back my dad had one knicked about 3 yrs ago, brand new 6 week old drz400s, £4000 down the drain, but the most annoying thing is iv seen and heard it being ridden by a load of scrotes over the local park and around the local areas about a week after it had been nicked. after that i never saw it again so i assume they burnt it out or somthing.
the other annoying thing is that every single motocross bike that ive had they have tried to nick, same people, same times and in 2 cases same day of the week
had about 3 attempts on my first mx bike, an old kmx 125 worth nothing sold it in the end.
1 attempt on my dads old yamaha trailway. sold it to buy drz
1 attempt on drz400s which they succedded in breaking the door down to get to it and cutting a magnum chain before putting it in a waiting van bought another drz shortly after this one was stolen
current drz, 3 attempts none of which they have succeded in getting in.1st attempt they bent the bottom of £1000 roller shutters which cost £150 to repair.
my sisters rm80, had 1 attempt before we moved it i dont think she could face getting her bike stolen.
my current rm125, admittedly worth about a grand, had about 3 attempts on that.
im getting pissed off with these c**ts now so im seriously thinking about selling my off road bike just so they dont keep causing damage to our property trying to steal them.
its a sad world we live in now |
